Fall 2011 MII Undergraduate Investment Conference
On October 14th and 15th, Michigan Interactive Investments (MII) hosted its fourth annual Undergraduate Investment Conference at the Ross School of Business. The conference this year featured 16 schools from across the country competing for a grand prize of $3,000. Competing schools include Carnegie Mellon, University of California-Berkeley, Emory, and William & Mary. Three of the teams will be selected by the first round judges to participate in the final round in Blau Auditorium at the Ross School of Business at 3:00pm on October 15th. The final round is open to the public.
Participants were treated to another outstanding keynote speech from Beau Cummins, CEO of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. Mr. Cummins received his MBA from Ross in 1989 and returned to the UIC for the third time this year. He also served as a final-round judge of the competition.
MII would like to thank our sponsors–Longbow Research, Wells Fargo, BP, and Blackrock–for their support at this year’s conference. Sponsors provided first- and final-round judges for the stock pitch competition. In addition, several MII alumni participated as first round judges.
